Adoption

I picked up the current edition of Adoptive Families magazine yesterday. I was intrigued because Nia Vardalos was on the front cover AND she wrote an article on Foster adoption. My 16 yr old was a foster child. Out of all of the types of adoption, foster adoption is the least talked about. Nia adopted her daughter through the foster program. I'm so glad to see a celebrty bringing this type of adoption to the limelight. I'm all for adoption, of any kind. I think every child needs a permanent family. So I'm not putting down domestic adoption (we got Hope that way) or international adoption or anything else. I'm just glad that attention has been brought to foster adoption. Thank you, Nia, for a job well done!
